Letter writing: not a dying art

I just watched a short Ted Talk from a young college student, Hannah Brencher, “Love Letters to Strangers.” Inspiring story to get us to pick up the pen, create a prose, and enrich the lives around us.

  1. What a great inspiration to encourage everyone to pick up the pen and write a letter to a friend or even to a stranger who needs encouragement. In our busy world I know we want to write short and quick notes using the internet and others love texting. But, think about it: don’t you like to get a handwritten letter in your mailbox sometime? I know, I do.

  2. Mary,
Yes, I do love a handwritten letter. My daughter has corresponded with her grandmother by handwritten letters since she was a little girl (in college now) and continues to do so today. She sent the video to me to post. I hope it inspires others.

Let me know what you think...

You took the time to stop by and cruise around my site and for that I am very grateful. I'm looking forward to letting the creativity run wild.

p.s. I write, not to be read, but for the pleasure of writing.
