The Plan by Lyn Genet Recitas works for me.
For the last year I have been trying to figure out the dairy or gluten issues that have been messing with my digestion and weight. My body has responded with indigestion problems, acid reflux, bloating, constipation or diarrhea. Nothing was working. I got tested and am not good with dairy. I am not gluten sensitive but if I have more than 1 slice of bread or a small pasta serving then my body reacts negatively.
The Plan was recommended to me by my sister. She doesn’t have any digestion issues but she is not happy about the weight that stays put now that we are older.
The Plan starts out by saying women over the age of 40 years have issues with different foods. They can be healthy foods; like black beans, tofu, milk, turkey, whole grains, or salmon. How frustrating to be eating healthy and your body is not responding.
So what a great resource to figure out what foods are right for ME!! The Plan does not tell you what foods to eat or what foods to avoid. You have to figure it out for yourself by tracking the eating plan. I am on day 12 and feel good.
I have lost 5 lbs and am not hungry at all. There are a lot of vegetables on the menu and everything is easy to cook. I will post how I am doing after a few weeks.
